Job Description |
What you will be doing: - Serve as the technical expert for hyperspectral product development marketing and sales.
- Develop and support the distributor network with opportunities for international travel.
- Support sales staff and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to create new products.
- Understand customers’ needs and technical requirements.
- Provide pre and postsales support.
- Communicate directly with endusers and distributors.
- Travel to visit customers and distributors and attend exhibit and present at conferences.
- Author marketing materials such as white papers application notes webinars and social media posts.
- Investigate competing technologies and products and suggest new hyperspectral products.
- Coauthor SBIR proposals to develop new technologies and products.
- Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to potential customers.
- Interact directly with endusers and distributors for product questions.
- Create inbound marketing materials such as white papers technical articles and blog posts.
- Establish oneself as a thought leader in the photonics industry.
- Develop compelling highquality technical papers for publication in scientific journals.
- Perform competitive analysis of competing products and technologies.
- Train new sales representatives and distributors on Surface Optics products.
- Qualify new markets for existing products.
- Attend allhands SOC safety security and HR meetings.
Experience you will need: - B.S. or M.S. degree in science or engineering.
- Knowledge and skills in spectroscopy including spectroscopic instrumentation and analyses of spectral data.
- Familiarity with calculus and statistics.
- Ability to travel internationally.
- Experience working with ENVI and MATLAB software for hyperspectral image analysis.
- Familiarity with optical and spectroscopic instrumentation.
- Understanding of electronics and knowledge of programming in modern languages such as Python or C#.
- Algorithm development related to signal/pattern recognition and classification.
- Background in manipulation of large image data.
