Principal responsibilities:

• Laboratory activities:
  • Embrace and apply the safety rules in the laboratory.
  • Participate to the improvement of safety rules.
  • Ensure the execution of the experimental plan with the existing equipment.
  • Become the SME of the equipment in the laboratory (adsorption membrane).
  • Collect and treat the generated data.
  • Issue first report and apply existing mathematical models when needed.

• Modelling activities:
  • Support the team on the implementation of models improvement.
  • Support the team on the application of models and presentation of the results.
  • Report discrepancies between models and lab/plant data.
  • Support the team for the large data handling for support to operation.

• Onsite support:
  • Requires punctual travels on site for tool implementation data collection or support to operation.

Requirements:

• Hold a Bsc in chemical engineering.
• Having previous experience in the following will be considered positively:
  • Experience in adsorption experimental set up (BET surface morphology breakthrough).
  • Experience with the operation of pilot unit testing.
  • Used to work in a laboratory with safety constraints.
  • Modelling knowledge on high temperature processes (thermodynamic kinetic).
  • Experience with support to industrial scale units operation.
  • Programing language as Python or VBA.

• Communication and interpersonal:
  • Have a can do attitude and confident to navigate outside of its zone of comfort.
  • Able to efficiently communicate the results with people from various background (engineering R&D operation management).
  • Have good communication skills with colleagues during project execution.
  • Ability to handle the work pressure.
  • Punctuality as this position requires to be in the laboratory.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory to ensure proper communication with colleagues across the global function.
