PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Professional Technical Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and managing procurement procedures for the project ensuring compliance with NEOM procedures and requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles along with knowledge of various engineering disciplines and construction technical fields.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide comprehensive technical support to the project team addressing all electrical engineering aspects.
- Oversee procurement procedures including the preparation of material takeoff (MTO) and quantity surveys.
- Evaluate vendor and supplier proposals to ensure they meet project specifications and standards.
- Review and verify electrical drawings specifications and standards to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Ensure all project activities adhere to NEOM procedures and requirements.
- Apply knowledge of various engineering disciplines to support project execution and resolve technical issues.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure cohesive and integrated project designs.
- Prepare detailed MTOs and quantity surveys for effective procurement and construction planning.
- Develop and submit weekly reports on project progress highlighting key achievements challenges and recommendations.
- Attend project meetings as needed to provide technical insights and updates.
- Maintain effective communication with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and quality delivery of materials and services.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers ensuring they meet project requirements and standards.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to resolve any issues related to material quality delivery schedules and compliance with specifications.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the GCC region with a strong background in electrical engineering within engineering and construction technical fields.
- Professional certifications in electrical engineering or related fields.
- Experience with largescale projects particularly within the NEOM framework.
- Extensive experience with NEOM procedures and requirements.
- Proficient in reviewing and interpreting electrical engineering drawings specifications and standards.
- Strong knowledge of procurement procedures including MTO preparation and quantity surveying.
- Familiarity with vendor and supplier management processes.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
