Responsibilities:
- Provide regulatory legal and strategic advice to internal teams and departments identifying and developing regulatory opportunities.
- Manage internal compliance functions including inventory and audit controls.
- Oversee and support the administration of the companys Biotrack THC software.
- Conduct and oversee all regulatory inspections in coordination with relevant regulatory bodies.
- Regularly audit security systems and recording devices to ensure proper compliance.
- Maintain records and documentation as required by law and generate necessary reports for regulatory and recordkeeping purposes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of facility staff training programs.
- Collaborate with department managers and subject matter experts to draft SOPs work instructions and various forms as part of a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS).
- Manage the implementation of quality programs and compliancerelated policies and procedures throughout the operating units.
- Document all changes in training manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform periodic checks to ensure employees are following processes and procedures accurately and within compliance.
- Participate in updating quality procedures and validating processes.
- Identify and address potential serious or chronic issues affecting product quality or compliance.
- Establish and enforce quality assurance standards providing technical recommendations in production and packaging.
- Monitor the vendor approval process for incoming products and consumables perform risk evaluations and conduct supplier audits.
- Oversee all thirdparty QA testing for flower batches and various products and establish relationships with testing laboratories.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree preferred; undergraduate degree required.
- 5 years of relevant experience; experience in cannabis regulatory compliance or legal fields is desired.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of state and local cannabis laws and regulations.
- Experience in writing and training team members on the implementation of SOPs.
- Advanced skills in MS Office and Excel; QMS experience is ideal.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a background check.
- Must comply with all legal or company regulations within the industry.
