Job description
Responsibilities:• Perform a variety of reconstructive surgical procedures, including but not limited to breast reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, and microsurgery.• Assess patient's needs and develop individualised treatment plans.• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.• Educate patients on surgical options, risks, and expected outcomes.• Provide post-operative care and follow-up to monitor patient progress and address any concerns.Job Knowledge & Skills:• In-depth knowledge of plastic surgery principles, techniques, and best practices.• Proficiency in a wide range of reconstructive procedures.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and colleagues.• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Job Experience:• Minimum 5 years of experience in a full time Consultant Plastic Surgeon position, with a focus on reconstructive techniques and a minimum of 1 year experience in a government, semi- government, or a teaching hospital.• Minimum 1 year of experience in GCC (preferred).• Preferably Arabic speaking candidates.• Experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting preferred.• Demonstrated success in performing complex reconstructive surgeries.Education requirements :• Graduate degree in General Medicine from an accredited Institution.• Western Board certified in Plastic Surgery and eligible for Consultant License in the State of Qatar as per MoPH criteria (Essential) at least 12 months duration from one of the Category 1 Western countries.• US Board/CCT in Plastic Surgery or equivalent specialist training certificate (Category 1).• Fellowship training in reconstructive surgery preferred.Benefits:• Competitive tax free salary + Incentives;• Visa and flights;• Accommodation;• Medical insurance;• Children schooling allowance (up to 2 children);• Generous annual leave and CME;• End of Service benefit;
