Job Description
As a Finance Officer you will be required to do the following:
- Monthly budgeting cashflows & forecasting including analysis of the results
- Coordinate accounts functions and financial reporting Tax planning & Treasury.
- Consolidation of Group accounts.
- Maintain and regularly review the company's financial reporting systems to monitor financial performance
- Establish clear control mechanisms for purchase and sales ledgers and review all data processing and operational systems within Finance to improve efficiencies
- Ensure business and operational compliance with regulatory standards and procedures
- Responsible for ensuring finance function including planning and controlling finances cash management management accounts quarterly budget forecasts and all matters relating to Corporate Finance
- Provide value added financial and management information to enable measurement of the business and decision making by senior management; ensuring such information is delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assisting in the provision of financial information pertaining to each reporting entity ensuring sound financial controls procedures and policies are in place to enable accurate and consistent reporting.
- Handling of statutory payment remittances: VAT WHT P.A.Y.E
- Weekly and Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
- Posting payment vouchers
- Management of fund flow weekly updates
- Manage general ledger and subledger reconciliation
- Perform other finance duties as assigned by Line manager.
Job Requirements
- B. Sc Accounting/Finance and must be a Chartered Accountant
- Minimum of 6 years cognate experience.
- Very good working knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
