Civil Estimator

The client is a construction and civil project team with infrastructure projects currently in delivery throughout regional and remote Queensland. We work hard to achieve successful outcomes for our clients through collaboration reliability efficiency and transparency.

About the Role

Ideally reporting to the Operations Manager. The role will require the development of all tender deliverables including pricing schedules quantity takeoffs programs requests for quotation to subcontractors and material suppliers and commercial and technical clarifications.

About you

• To be considered you must have a minimum of two years of exposure to civil infrastructure rehabilitation and earthworks projects between $500K $5M.
  
• Experience pricing or delivering civil projects including bridges culverts drainage or roads
  
• Preparing estimates and submitting tenders
  
• Reviewing scope of works tender and contract documentation to identify risks and costeffectiveness
  
• Prepare construction methodologies and programs
  
• Obtain quotes and prices from suppliers and subcontractors
  
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
  
• Highly developed communication skills and attention to detail
  

Requirements

Skills & Experience

• 2 years experience in Estimating
  
• Quantity surveying experience highly regarded
  
• Project engineering experience highly regarded
  
• Experienced in MS Office including Excel Adobe PDF
  
• Knowledge of estimating from First Principles
