We are looking for an EPC Director with past experience from choosing brown/green site through commissioning. Using your deep knowledge, skills and experience in delivering EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) projects, you will be responsible for the successful execution and delivery of the EPC project from FEL-1 through commissioning and handover.
The Director/VP works directly alongside the selected EPC Contractor s Project team, The Director/VP will lead, manage and report on all aspects of the Project's implementation, including progress, schedule, scope and risk.
Responsibilities
- Contract Award Duties: Support assessment and manage award of the EPC Project and the signing of the Contract(s) to the successful EPC bidder/respondent.
Management Duties:
- EPC budget and cost management
- Close engagement/support of internal Finance team
- Close engagement/support of Engineering, Technical and scale-up teams
- Project schedule management
- EPC scope of work development
- Project status reporting
- Internal management presentations/updates
- Engineering Duties:
- Drive value engineering efforts
- Manage multiple 3rd party consultants/engineers
Procurement Duties:
- Major equipment selection evaluations
- 3rd Party EPC bidding and contracting (depending on EPC model chosen)
Construction Duties:
- EPC contract management
- Coordinate with construction site teams
- Review of Contractor's Deliverables
- Monitoring of Contractor's implementation and construction work activities
- Interconnection Utility interface procurement
- Obtaining required certifications and operating permits as well as compliance with regulations (local and federal)
- Facility is suitable for safe operation and maintenance as well as compliant with all safe construction norms, practices, and rules
- Start up and commissioning of the plant
- Ensuring that all material and documentation required to be handed over to Every is complete in all respects
- Drive closeout and turnover coordination with operations
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong technical food, beverage, or ingredient background
- Large-scale manufacturing experience in foods/beverages/ingredients ideal
- Comprehension of food ingredient cost structure and customer expectations
- Experience in EPC contract negotiations and management
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Possess a "get it done" mentality
- Technical or Business degree required
- 10-15 Years of EPC Management, either as a customer or in an EPC Firm
- Technical or Business degree required
- 10-15 Years of EPC Management, either as a customer or in an EPC Firm Nice-to-have (but not required)
- Degree in chemical, biochemical, mechanical or civil engineering preferred
- Professional certification (PE or other) preferred
- 10+ Years of food, beverage or food ingredient manufacturing EPC project
- Experience, preferably including fermentation, separation/concentration and spray drying
