Sr Specialist- Design

Supporting the provision of design pricing and specification services to support both internal and external customers from all companys regions including companys sales offices dealers A&D and end customers.
Responsible for developing design solutions based on the global companys product portfolio from typical development test fitting floor layouts through to the creation of post installation drawings.
Liaise with customers to understand the customer needs and to verify designs.

Task Profile (Individual duties assignments and responsibilities required of the position.)

A. Support response for request for services

1. Collaborate with other team members to complete requests as required ( From research
   to response )
2. Collaborate with external teams to complete requests as required ( Monterrey Grand
   Rapids and other locations)
3. Communicate with customers to define request/project requirements
4. Develop solutions based on companys product offerings based on process for each
   market (AP NA Europe)
5. Support the definition of special products
6. Create solution drawings
7. Read & interpret typical drawings Floor plan takeoffs based on typical drawings
8. Apply pricing based on process for each market (AP NA Europe)
9. Create complete project quotations
10. Compile RFP & RFI responses with supporting documentation
11. Calculate Freight Delivery & Installation charges together with SFT Forwarder & customers
12. Review own/peer quotes & drawings QAS
13. Submit and review solution drawings & quotation with customers
14. Create solution specification list
15. Provide technical drawings to the visualization team
16. Advise the visualization team on product solution and application

B. Administrative Support

1. Update daily metrics and project management system ( AGIO/Daily Bucket/Google
   Docs)
2. Maintain and update project folders
3. Develop technical standards ( templates reference materials )
4. Collect and maintain RFP supporting documentation
5. Participate in monthly team meetings
6. Customer Experience Support
7. Participate with customer visits as and when required
8. Engage customers to explain department processes and services

C Development / Network
1. Maintain and update on product knowledge (participate with product training)
2. Follow the Learning and Development curriculum and update progress
3. Mentor new hires through the Buddy System

Requirements Profile (Competencies skills abilities experience education necessary.)

A Technical Skills
1. AutoCAD / draught work using specification tools including PCON FSL & Sketch up

2. Understanding the technical capabilities of the companys products including stability
guidelines structural and material properties.

3. Understanding of power and data infrastructure and distribution

4. Understanding of BIFMA IAQ ISO LEED standards related to the companys products and
Projects

5. Quotation tools; Hedberg Excel

6. Additional quotation tools; Easy Coms CAP Worksheet Smart Tools

1. Understanding of regional/ global interior design & spatial planning rules and guidelines

Education/Experience

• Minimum Degree/Diploma in Industrial / Product Design / Interior Design or equivalent
• 3 5 years working experience preferably in office furniture industry or interior design
• Work Environment (Expected working conditions physical effort required & approximate amount of travel.)
• Primarily the office environment. Flexible working hours required to accommodate foreign time zones and customer deadlines. Requires minimum travel to foreign and domestic markets assisting on major projects in the field.
