Senior Software Engineer - AndroidX fmx

atmio is on a mission to save 1 Billion tonnes of CO2 emissions yearly which is as much as all emissions from commercial aviation worldwide. We are building a smart greenhouse gas measurement platform with portable sensor technology for energy companies that have to quantify report and reduce methane emissions.

Tasks

Your responsibilities

• Become an expert in your product domain
• Conceptualize and deliver features that fit our customers needs
• While being the go to android expert in your team you also work on other projects and environments
• Work closely with the hardware and cloud platform teams
• Keep a pulse on cuttingedge Android technologies and software engineering practices
• Assist in road map planning estimation scheduling and hiring
• Report to and closely work with our CTO

Requirements

Skills & experience that you will need

• Minimum 6 years of in depth software engineering experience
• You are versatile in multiple programming languages and environments and are excited at the prospect of learning new ones.
• Strong Android native development skills
• Experience shipping multiple mobile Apps in B2B environment
• Exceptional communication and cross discipline collaboration
• Solid experience in at least one other environment s. Great to have
• Strong sense for user experience
• Solid understanding on different API formats and data storage technologies
• Given only high level requirements able to plan and work autonomously while staying strongly aligned with your team

Great to have:

• Experience working with IoT devices
• Experience with native iOS development and cross platform frameworks
• Skills with DevOps & CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with server less AWS technologies and IaC (Terraform)
• You have working knowledge using the django ecosystem
• Frontend skills using HTMX

Location:

• While we offer very flexible remote working options you must be based in Germany
