The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher.

This position will be funded by project EDISON (2023 CLIMA 00105 Generalitat de Catalunya).

ICIQ is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to work in Prof. JR GalnMascaros research group. The postdoctoral researcher will work on the processing of electrocatalysts onto electrode supports and their structural and electrochemical characterization along characterization and validation of full cell electrolyzer devices.

Responsibilities

• Processing of electrodes and MEAs.
• Electrochemical characterization (CV LSV EIS)
• Writing of reports and scientific articles.

Requirements

• PhD in chemistry or equivalent
• Experience in electrochemistry
• Experience in the processing of materials
• Ability to cooperate with experimental teams.
• Ability to present the results the results of research in scientific journals and in international congresses and also to nonscientific audience is a must.
• Proven excellent knowledge of English.

Valued qualities

• Experience in the engineering of electrode supports
• Demonstrated experience in reporting and publishing research results in top scientific journals.
• S/He should be a motivated openminded highly dynamic and capable of working in a team making decisions solving problems and creative thinking.
• Strong commitment for scientific research in a competitive environment.

We offer

• A 3year fulltime employment contract.
• Remuneration according to individuals qualifications/experience.
• Annual salary split in twelve monthly payments.

Selection Process

ICIQs selection process usually entails the following phases:

• Preselection: The preselection process will be based on qualifications and expertise as reflected on the candidates CVs. This phase is meritbased.
• Interview: Preselected candidates will be interviewed by the Hiring Manager of the position and the appointed Selection Committee.
• Offer Letter:Once the successful candidate is selected the People Unit will extend a Job Offer specifying the start day salary and overall job conditions.
