The Accounting Manager will oversee most accounting-related activity. The Accounting Manager must have manufacturing and SEC reporting experience. Job responsibilities for the Accounting Manager include traditional financial accounting responsibilities, SEC document drafting, as well as monitoring inventory levels.
- Oversee activities of the accounting department for the accurate and timely preparation of internal and external financial statements.
- Oversee activities related to cash disbursements, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, and employee expense reports.
- Oversee activities of the billing and cash collection process to ensure the accurate and timely management of all A/R aging components.
- Coordination/oversight/reconciliation of physical inventories.
- Ability to adjust to other duties, responsibilities and activities that may be changed or assigned as needed with or without notice.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in finance, accounting or relevant discipline required.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a finance function, experience in a manufacturing location strongly preferred.
- SEC experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with bill of materials, inventory valuation, and costing strongly preferred.
- Excellent skills in the use of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
15+ years of operational experience in finance/ accounting, and a minimum 5+ years in a high-growth SaaS company, including 3+ years as a Controller or Senior Accounting Manager Big 4 audit experience a plus Detailed knowledge of ASC 606 and relevant current accounting rules relating to software, SaaS, and services revenue recognition. Advanced project management skills organization, prioritization, goal setting, execution, accountability Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments and work within tight deadlines. Motivated and eager to expand job responsibilities, suggest improvements, and collaborate with others to generate ideas to improve processes. Strong written communication skills. Strong communicator comfortable presenting to executive management. Excellent working knowledge of Excel Experience overseeing full-cycle accounting for venture stage or private equity backed companies a plus Sage INTACCT knowledge a plus
