Responsibilities: Scrutiny of the claims from intimation until maturity of the claims. Upon quick review of the Policy, suggests appropriate actions required on the claim notification. Email/telephonic correspondence with Insured/Broker/ Loss Adjusters/ Underwriters etc. regarding the claim. Interacting with Reinsurers & obtaining Lead Underwriter’s approval. Setting the strategic direction of the claims and ensuring to achieve the required objectives in the efficient manner. Follow up & discussions with Loss Adjusters. Maintain controls of claim activities and claims accurate reserving and to ensure business activities are being conducted in line with company’s policy. Investigation of the claims, mainly of classes- Energy, Marine Cargo, Marine Hull, Miscellaneous etc. Providing resolution to the complex Claims to ensure best customer service. To control aggravation of claims and act on loss minimization. Negotiating repair charges with Repairers/Insured. Guiding Loss Adjusters / Surveyors accordingly, wherever necessary. Processing of claims. Preparing Claim Approval Notes for claims including the in-house claims. Review of major claims on periodic basis, control the ageing of claims & follow-up with Insured/Broker/Loss Adjuster. Guide, support and impart knowledge to the claims team to remain the best in the Claims service in the region. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in any discipline, preferably in Engineering. Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) from The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) is a preferred. Knowledge & Experience in Energy, Marine Hull and Cargo claims. Minimum 6 years’ experience in the relevant field. Fluency in English (reading, writing, and communicating) Strong analyzing and reporting skills. Excellent communication skills.
