Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join their team as the Head of Department for Housing Disrepair. As the Head of Department you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team of professionals and overseeing all aspects of their housing disrepair division.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the housing disrepair department ensuring the effective management and resolution of housing disrepair cases.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws regulations and industry best practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients including tenants landlords and legal representatives to facilitate the efficient resolution of housing disrepair cases.
- Manage a team of professionals including solicitors paralegals and support staff and provide guidance mentorship and training as required.
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization to streamline processes and ensure efficient service delivery to clients.
- Stay updated with changes in housing laws and regulations and proactively adapt department strategies to reflect these changes.
- Monitor department performance analyse key metrics and implement improvements to enhance productivity and achieve departmental goals.
Requirements
- Ideally you will be a qualified Solicitor or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. However candidates that are experienced running a caseload postlitigation will also be considered.
- Civil litigation experience and good working knowledge of the civil procedure rules and fast track
- Experience of advising on legal issues within an inhouse legal environment or similar
- Proficient user of Microsoft packages including Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint and Teams
