Tax Accountant

Position Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detailoriented Tax Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tax compliance planning and reporting. This role requires a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file federal state and local tax returns accurately and timely.
• Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax legislation.
• Develop tax strategies and policies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance.
• Review and analyze financial statements for tax implications.
• Assist with audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with tax regulations.
• Manage tax provision and compliance process including calculating quarterly estimated tax payments.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement in tax procedures.
• Provide tax advice and support to management and other departments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting or a related field.
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal state and local tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
