Accounting Supervisor

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Accounting Supervisor to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills a deep understanding of accounting principles and the ability to oversee and manage daily accounting operations. This role requires excellent analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the daily activities of the accounting team including accounts payable accounts receivable general ledger and payroll.
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and monthend closing processes.
• Review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets forecasts and financial analysis.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Coordinate and support external audits and regulatory filings.
• Mentor and provide training to accounting staff fostering their professional development.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall financial goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Previous experience in agriculture/construction industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical problemsolving and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
