CYBER SECURITY MANAGER

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and Implement Security Policies:

• Create implement and maintain security policies protocols and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g. GDPR HIPAA ISO 27001).

Risk Assessment and Management:

• Conduct regular security risk assessments and audits.
• Identify vulnerabilities and threats and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Incident Response:

• Lead the response to security incidents including investigation and resolution.
• Develop and maintain an incident response plan.

Security Infrastructure Management:

• Oversee the design and implementation of security systems (e.g. firewalls IDS/IPS antivirus software).
• Ensure the security of networks servers and applications.

Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor a team of security professionals.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on security best practices.

Monitoring and Reporting:

• Monitor security systems and networks for unusual activity.
• Prepare and present regular reports on security status and incidents to senior management.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work with other departments to ensure security measures are understood and implemented.
• Liaise with external security agencies and vendors.

Budget Management:

• Manage the security budget ensuring costeffective use of resources.
• Evaluate and recommend security investments.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CISM CEH) preferred.

Experience:

• 10 years of experience in cyber security or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing security teams and projects.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of security protocols cryptography authentication and authorization.
• Proficiency with security tools and technologies (e.g. SIEM firewalls antivirus IDS/IPS).
• Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Knowledge:

• Indepth knowledge of current cyber threats and trends.
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure and operations.

• High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
• Ability to handle highpressure situations and make sound decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with cloud security (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of programming and scripting languages (e.g. Python PowerShell).
• Multilingual skills particularly Arabic for roles requiring interaction with Arabicspeaking stakeholders.
