Job Summary:

Manages and administers all supply chain activities beginning from ensuring the quality of the purchased materials ensuring quantities cover all production plans. In addition to supervising all materials management function in TSC. continually reviewing the whole materials management cycle and attending to its development and enhancement

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Duties

  • Participating with the GM in setting short and long term business strategies for achieving the companys objectives.
  • Identifying improvement opportunities to enable TSC. to be proactive in the constantly changing environment.
  • Setting budget for the Department in coordination with the Finance Department at the company to be submitted to the GM for review and approval.
  • Controlling the financial performance of the Department and keep it within the set budget.
  • Setting cascading and communicating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for monitoring the performance of sections and units under supervision.

Technical Duties

  • Establishing key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning / forecasting; measuring actual performance against goals on regular basis
  • Supervising controlling the supply chain function in TSC including purchasing as well as continually reviewing the whole logistics cycle and attending to its development and enhancement.
  • Managing the overall purchasing processes to ensure that all purchase requirements are fulfilled.
  • Ensuring procurement activities are in compliance with commercial and technical objectives specifications etc
  • In addition to negotiating with suppliers shipping and clearance to attain the minimum cost for best quality.
  • Analyzing information and records to approve purchase orders for procurement of products and equipments with the required level of quality and optimal price.
  • Managing the logistics clearance and receiving processes to for material purchased.
  • Supervising the coordination between all Warehouses in all regions.
  • Designing procedures that maintain the optimal inventory levels and reduce the dead stock and damages
  • Overseeing Planning function and ensure the high level of coordination between this Section and all other related functions in the company.
  • Monitoring the use and inventories of spare parts maintenance supplies and equipment

General Administrative Duties

  • Conducting periodic meetings with subordinates for reviewing progress and work flow discussing their suggestions and taking suitable actions accordingly.
  • Preparing periodic reports with respect to the activities and achievements to be submitted to the direct manager for review.
  • Specifying manpower requirements according to the recruitment and selection system and as per the human resources planning practices at the company.
  • Identifying training needs of subordinates and evaluating the outcomes of the training courses in coordination with the concerned personnel in the Human Resources Section
  • Followingup employee affairs including vacations leaves etc
  • Conducting performance appraisals for subordinates according to scheduled plans and recommending necessary actions as per the applied practices at the company
  • Performing any other duties related to his/her job as assigned by the Direct manager.

Communication Channels

Internal Employment Relations:

  • Communicating with all departments managers for material receipts issuances and transfer related matters and other Supply Chain matters and issues

External Employment Relations:

  • Communicating with suppliers and vendors for various materials purchasing and delivery related matters

Bachelor degree in Business Administration or any related field

Master degree in Supply Chain or any related field f

10 years of experience in a related field
