Chemical Engineer Manager

Job Scope:

Development of and Quality Control of new and existing Products. Modification of new and existing Products to suit new markets / Countries. Development of New Products. Reduction in production costs of Products. Improve processes and equipment used in the production of our products.

Key Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supporting Quality Control of Existing and new Products on site.
• Modification of Existing Products to suit new markets / Countries (mainly cold plastics but some hot also)
• Development of New Products and supporting global sales of all our products
• Reduction in production costs of Products
• Dealing with customers problems
• Travelling to customers to help rectify problems
• Conducting New Product evaluation testing and optimisation of all our products and conduct Demonstrations on site as required
• Conducting New Product Road Trials with Local Authorities and Certifying bodies
• Meeting with Raw material suppliers to evaluate new materials.
• Site testing and development of our products
• Opportunity to design and bring to market in our manufacturing facility.

Skills Required:

Qualification in chemical engineering or similar discipline

Skills which would be an advantage:

• Good knowledge or qualification in paint or plastic adhesives an advantage.
• Ability to work with dual liquid components.
• Prepared to travel on business.
• Excellent communication skills

Education/Training Advantage:

• Have a Diploma in Civil /Chemical Engineering
• Training on how to use the testing equipment in lab
• Completed Courses on Colour Development Lean Product Management
• Prepared to train as train the trainer on certification of our products.
• Experience with Microsoft office
• Experience with paint and varnish paint technician or similar training.
