Essential Functions
With minimal supervision work with internal teams and subject matter experts to obtain an indepth understanding of the product
and documentation requirements.
Produce and maintain highquality documentation that meets corporate standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
Write easytounderstand user interface text online help and user guides.
Create tutorials to help endusers use a variety of applications.
Analyze existing and potential content focusing on reuse and singlesourcing opportunities.
Support internal and external customers with documentation requests and questions.
Maintains reasonably regular punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies the ADA FMLA and other federal state
and local standards.
Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Requirements
Five (5) years of experience in technical writing of software or related documentation.
Bachelors degree in journalism mass communications organizational communication English or a similar area of study.
Strong writing skills demonstrating understanding of target audiences and efficiency with style and grammar.
Works independently and collaboratively with many different teams.
Deliver high quality documentation with a sharp attention to detail.
Quickly grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into userfriendly deliverables.
Basic understanding of software development and the Agile methodology.
Knowledge of financial management best practices which can be translated to transportation financial practices. Ability to produce legible and complete functional documentation in a way that thoroughly captures business processes and inputs/outputs of the applications. Ability to analyze and accurately and completely define processes and workflows to design efficient information solutions, including missing or duplicate functionality in existing applications. Ability to work effectively with users and a project team, to identify and document requirements for the maintenance, enhancement, or development of computer application systems, including technical overviews and context diagrams. Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and prioritize work assignments for him/herself or lower-level analysts. Skill in accurately preparing schedule estimates for requirements analysis and computer programming tasks in a computer application maintenance environment. Ability to work effectively with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Data Analysts, and Technical Architects to build efficient, viable solutions in the maintenance of business applications utilizing all established Departmental standards. Ability to prepare complex computer program specifications. Ability to prepare computer program test plans and to create test databases and test environments. Ability to interpret and communicate technical information related to computer programming and data processing, both verbally and in writing. Advanced skills with Microsoft products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project. Experience working on accounting and financial computing applications and monitoring complex interfaces with external systems. Knowledge of Agile Project Management methodologies and practices. Knowledge of the SCRUM Framework.
