We are seeking a Senior Client Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in New Zealand Public Practice.

Role Summary:

As a Senior Client Manager youll manage a portfolio of clients addressing their accounting and taxation needs. Your responsibilities will include client communication financial reviews project management and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with clients regarding annual accounts GST returns payroll strategic planning software selection tax planning and structuring advice.
  • Set client budgets and manage projects to meet financial targets and deadlines.
  • Review and finalize financial statements tax returns (FBT GST Income Tax) and payroll for accuracy.
  • Conduct regular invoicing and manage Work in Progress for your clients.
  • Work with the Production Manager to efficiently delegate tasks and meet client expectations.
  • Support team members professional growth through training and mentoring both locally and overseas.
  • Participate in weekly management meetings to report on business operations workflow and team budgets driving team progress and unity.
  • Identify and recommend improvements in operational systems and processes to the Operations Manager.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in preparing tax estimates GST FBT returns and financial statements using Xero.
  • Understanding business structures employment obligations and various taxation responsibilities.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and tax laws.
  • Experience with Xero Practice Manager and Xero Workpapers is ideal.
  • Simplify and effectively communicate accounting and tax information verbally and in writing.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a passion for helping clients.
  • Organized able to manage multiple priorities and motivated to achieve excellent outcomes for clients and the team.

What were offering:

  • Salary starting from $120000 per year.
  • Working Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm.
  • Location in Wellington with the option to work in Kapiti and some days from home.
