Technical Lead IT Cloud and Automation Specialist

Role: Senior Technical Lead (IT Cloud and Automation Specialist)

Location: Remote

Duration: 3 years Contract (2 years additional/optional extension)

Please Note:

• MUST HAVE: Azure Administrator Associate Certification from Microsoft.
• Must have 3years experience LEADING project over $5MM dollars in budget size

Duties/Day to Day Overview

1. Cloud Services Support: Assisting with the management of cloudbased resources ensuring that services are running smoothly and efficiently. This might involve basic tasks in cloud environments such as provisioning monitoring and maintenance.

1. Automation Assistance: Helping to implement and maintain automation scripts and workflows that support various IT operations such as software deployments system configurations and routine checks.

1. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Working under the guidance of more senior team members to manage and provision infrastructure using code and templating tools like AWS CloudFormation or Azure Resource Manager.

1. Monitoring and Reporting: Keeping an eye on cloud resources and automated processes creating reports on their status and escalating issues to higherlevel specialists or engineers as necessary.

1. Troubleshooting: Providing firstline troubleshooting support for issues within cloud environments and automated systems working to resolve user and system problems or forwarding complex issues to senior staff.

1. Documentation: Creating and updating documentation for cloud configurations automation procedures and operational guidelines to ensure that knowledge is shared and processes are repeatable.

1. Security Basics: Assisting with the implementation of basic security measures in cloud environments like managing access controls and monitoring for unusual activity.

1. Collaboration: Working with other IT staff on projects related to cloud and automation offering support where needed and learning from more experienced team members.

1. Vendor Interaction: Assisting with interactions between the organization and cloud service providers or automation tool vendors including support requests and account management.

1. Cost Monitoring: Helping to track cloud spending and utilization to aid in cost optimization efforts.

1. Technology includes: Azure AWS Ansible VMware Aria Automation

Top Requirements

(Must haves)

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience aligning IT systems with organizational business processes.
• At least three (3) years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity.
