Sheet Metal Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sheet metal fabrication bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish and a passion for safety quality and continuous improvement. As a Supervisor you will play a critical role in ensuring efficient production processes maintaining safety standards and fostering a positive team culture.

Responsibilities:

Lead a team of sheet metal technicians providing guidance coaching and support.
Ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
Collaborate with senior management to achieve departmental goals.
Utilize your extensive knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques.
Oversee the assembly and production of sheet metal components.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to sheet metal processes.
Implement Lean Manufacturing principles including JIT (JustInTime) methodology.
Drive Kaizen events and participate in process improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
Prioritize safety at all times enforcing safety protocols and best practices.
Conduct safety audits and address any safety concerns promptly.
Train and mentor staff ensuring they have the necessary skills for their roles.
Collaborate with HR and senior management to develop training programs.
Assess employee skills and identify areas for improvement.
Foster a peoplecentric and teamcentric culture.
Lead by example promoting collaboration respect and open communication.
Build strong relationships with team members.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within sheet metal manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Kaizen.
Safetyconscious with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with HR and senior management.
