The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have QTS and a strong track record in teaching English at KS3 KS4 and KS5.
• Demonstrate excellent leadership skills with experience in leading a department.
• Be passionate about English literature and language with a commitment to inspiring students.
• Possess the ability to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
• Have a vision for the future of English education and a drive for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead develop and inspire the English department ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress implementing strategies to enhance achievement.
• Support and mentor colleagues fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.
• Contribute to the schools strategic development ensuring the English curriculum is engaging and relevant.
• Promote a love of English through extracurricular activities events and initiatives.
