About the Role
The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for overseeing financial reporting ensuring compliance with accounting standards and managing the general ledger. They will prepare and analyze financial statements coordinate audits and implement financial controls.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional guest and team member service with a friendly and efficient approach.
- Assist in the monthend General Ledger closing process to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
- Ensure that monthly quarterly and yearend financial closings are accurate and timely.
- Perform monthly accurate Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and ad hoc financial reports.
- Support and review the work of the Finance team including payroll accounts payable inventory control and more.
- Continuously improve department procedures and resource utilization while maintaining accuracy.
- Collaborate with Finance team members to monitor and support their annual goals and professional development.
- Assist the Controller with special projects and workflow improvements.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of financial transactions.
- Work closely with department managers to ensure they understand their expenses and accounting procedures.
- Oversee capital expenditures for both small and large projects.
- Compile comprehensive reports from subordinate reports for management or government agencies.
- Develop work procedures prepare schedules and expedite workflows.
- Adhere to regulatory department and company policies and procedures.
