Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Tile Setter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing a variety of tile types in commercial settings and possess a keen eye for detail and quality workmanship.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled following blueprints and building plans.
Cut and shape tile to fit around obstacles and into odd spaces and corners using hand and power cutting tools.
Prepare surfaces for tiling by cleaning and leveling them.
Apply mortar or other adhesives to tile and set them in place aligning tiles and spacing them correctly.
Install decorative wall tile and floor tile in commercial buildings.
Fill joints with grout using a rubber float sponge or trowel.
Remove excess grout and apply necessary finishes to ensure the quality of the tile installation.
Inspect finished work to ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Tile Setter in commercial settings.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans.
Proficiency with hand and power tools used in tile installation.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Reliable transportation to job sites in and around Indianapolis.
