Director of Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire manufacturing process, from upstream to downstream operations, ensuring that all processes are carried out in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
• Manage the production of biopharmaceutical products, ensuring that they meet the required quality standards.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing operations, including improving efficiency, reducing waste, and increasing productivity.
• Collaborate with the research and development team to facilitate the smooth transition of new products from the lab to the manufacturing floor.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, including GMP, FDA, and EMA guidelines.
• Lead and manage a team of manufacturing professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Quality Assurance and Supply Chain, to ensure the smooth operation of the manufacturing process.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field. A Master’s degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing leadership, with a focus on biologics.
• Proven experience in both upstream and downstream manufacturing processes.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA, and EMA regulations.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to a variety of audiences.
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
