About the Company

This company engages in the exploration production transportation and sale of crude oil and natural gas. It operates through the following segments: Upstream Downstream and Corporate. The Upstream segment includes crude oil natural gas and natural gas liquids exploration field development and production. Job Summary

This Company is currently seeking an experienced Business Origination Specialist to join their New Business Development Organization which focuses on merger & acquisition joint venture partnership and divestiture transactions. As a key member of This Companys New Business Development Origination Group this role involves bringing market insights across various sectors to uncover business opportunities that primarily lead to transactions such as acquisitions divestments and joint ventures on a global scale.

Responsibilities include generating initial ideas developing concepts leading commercial feasibility studies and creating initial business cases upon managements approval. The Specialist will engage with potential partners for detailed assessments develop robust business plans and conduct necessary due diligence. Once endorsed by management opportunities will be transferred to a Transaction Group for execution.

The role requires conducting internal and external assessments to identify emerging trends and new business opportunities along with addressing current or anticipated commercial challenges. Strong analytical skills are essential to transform raw data into actionable business intelligence enabling earlystage identification of opportunities across various industries.

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in understanding financial operational technical and strategic elements of identified opportunities. Presentation skills are crucial for advancing new business ideas through review committees after obtaining initial management endorsement. Subsequently developing comprehensive business plans including strategic fit assessment recommended strategies industry analysis market dynamics risk assessment economic modeling and competitor analysis is vital.

Moreover the position demands strong project management capabilities and experience leading large crossfunctional teams. Effective communication and presentation skills especially with senior management are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business ideas and assess their feasibility.
  • Articulate rationale for pursuing identified opportunities considering alignment with business strategy market trends business impact and risk mitigation.
  • Engage with internal and external entities to stay informed of current and emerging business trends.
  • Lead and conduct desktop market research.
  • Develop business plans and financial models and review financial models prepared by others.
  • Produce thought leadership reports describing strategies financial and operational performance of companies industries and sectors.
  • Manage crossfunctional teams to develop business plans for new opportunities.
  • Continuously review and enhance the business origination process with best practices.
  • Mentor and coach junior staff members in skill development and the business origination process.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to relocate to Dhahran Saudi Arabia.
  • A BS degree in Engineering Business Administration Finance Economics Accounting Banking or equivalent with an MBA or its equivalent; and a professional certification such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience across multiple industries; if no MBA or professional certification then 15 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Broad industry experience including oil and gas broader energy industry technology professional services real estate and infrastructure.
  • Expertise in conducting commercial and economic feasibility studies.
  • Knowledge of venturing activities such as commercialization spinoffs or joint venturing as well as project development.
  • Strong finance background including financial valuations and modeling experience.
  • Background in strategy development or relevant strategic experience.
  • Experience in developing deal strategy and market positioning.
  • Strong analytical ability to synthesize data from various sources into meaningful insights.
  • Experience with market intelligence platforms analytics and report generation.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Excellent writing skills to produce reports for senior management.
  • Excellent presentation skills with experience presenting to senior management.
  • Track record of originating transactions that resulted in successful deals.
