Job Summary

The Energy Services Drafter will use an architect s and industry specifications to create detailed drawings for buildings structures and projects. 3/2 hybrid schedule (Tuesday Thursday in the office Monday and Friday WFH) with minimal weekday travel.

Job Description

• Uses computeraided drafting (CAD) software to create fullscale and detailed designs of buildings and interiors from an architect s rough drawings.
  
• Studies building codes and regulations and determines how they will affect architectural designs.
  
• Organizes civil structural electrical and mechanical designs.
  
• Draws plans for foundations buildings and structures based on instructions provided by engineers and architects.
  
• Visits job sites to gather data needed to complete designs.
  
• Determines the types of materials needed and calculates the quantity to be ordered.
  
• Working with an architect generates cost estimates contracts and other documents required for individual projects.
  
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  

Requirements

• Excellent problemsolving skills.
  
• Extensive knowledge of CAD software and other architectural drafting tools.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
• Education and Experience:
  
• Associate s degree in Drafting is required.
  
• Three years of related experience is required.
  
• Physical Requirements:
  
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of construction sites.
  
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
