General Manager - Operations

We're a leading recruitment company in Sri Lanka and looking for a General Manager for manufacturing and supply chain for a wellreputed FMCG company in Colombo. This pivotal role will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes managing supply chain logistics and driving strategic initiatives to enhance operational capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in manufacturing management supply chain optimization and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans for manufacturing and supply chain operations to support company goals.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee the entire manufacturing process ensuring efficient and costeffective production while maintaining highquality standards.
• Supply Chain Management: Manage and optimize the supply chain from procurement to delivery ensuring timely and efficient distribution of products.
• Team Leadership: Lead mentor and develop a highperforming team fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Financial Oversight: Prepare and manage budgets monitor expenses and ensure financial targets are met.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement innovative solutions to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Customer Focus: Work closely with sales and customer service teams to align manufacturing and supply chain operations with customer needs and expectations.
• Technology Integration: Drive the adoption of advanced technologies to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a senior management role within manufacturing and supply chain operations preferably in the FMCG industry.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
• Leadership: Proven experience in leading and developing teams with a focus on fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes supply chain logistics and related technologies.
• Analytical Ability: Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to make datadriven decisions.
