Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing implementing managing and troubleshooting our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities
Design implement and manage network infrastructure including routers switches firewalls and wireless access points.
Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Configure and support network equipment and services such as VPN QoS and VoIP.
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs patches hotfixes and security configurations.
Proactively identify diagnose and resolve network issues to minimize downtime.
Implement and maintain network security measures to protect data software and hardware.
Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation and diagrams.
Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to support network requirements and provide technical assistance.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve network efficiency.
Conduct network capacity planning and performance analysis.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Participate in oncall rotation and respond to network emergencies as needed.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.

Experience:
46 years of professional experience in network engineering.

Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of networking protocols and services (e.g. TCP/IP DNS DHCP OSPF BGP MPLS).
Experience with network hardware from vendors such as Cisco Juniper and HP.
Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls VPNs and security appliances.
Familiarity with wireless networking technologies and best practices.
Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. Wireshark SolarWinds Nagios).
Knowledge of network virtualization and softwaredefined networking (SDN).
Understanding of VoIP and Quality of Service (QoS) concepts.
Basic knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g. Python Ansible) is a plus.
Experience with cloud networking (AWS Azure Google Cloud) is a plus.
