This position performs electrical preventive and corrective maintenance jobs. Responds to electrical emergencies and performs other tasks as assigned. Responsibilities • Preventive Maintenance • Service Orders • Non-value-added work (Shop clean-up, Inventory of Tools, Police Call) • Performs other duties and assignments as required. Qualifications • Minimum Qualifications: • Foreign National • Education/Experience: • College degree or Technical school diploma as an electrician is required • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in electrical repair, be able to read/understand schematic drawings and have strong troubleshooting abilities. The candidate should be able show a past track record of being able to identify and repair electrical problems in printed, integrated, wired and electromechanical circuits. This position requires a firm understanding of electrical components and their functions within a circuit. • Program Specific Requirements: • Extensive Electrical Maintenance Experience. (1-3 Years)- Extensive should be defined as a broad range of experience repairing and maintaining such items as circuits, motors, lighting, controls, etc. • Possess knowledge of safety and environmental issues as they relate to Facility Maintenance. • Able to communicate clearly in both written and spoken English with U.S. customer. • Working Environment: • In this position there is exposure to physical and working conditions where serious accidents or injuries may occur, exposure to disagreeable noise elements, prolonged high ambient temperatures. Outdoor environments, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling heavy objects. • Must be able to lift/push/pull 35-45 lbs.
