Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret medical images including Xrays CT scans MRIs and ultrasounds to diagnose and treat patients
• Consult with referring physicians to discuss patient cases and provide recommendations
• Perform imageguided procedures such as biopsies and drainage
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of radiological images and reports
• Stay updated with advancements in radiology techniques and technology
• Supervise and train radiology technologists and other staff
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss treatment plans
• Adhere to all safety and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding imaging procedures
• Contribute to research and academic activities in the field of radiology
• Provide expertise in the selection and maintenance of radiology equipment
• Participate in oncall and emergency radiology services

Required Qualifications:

• MD or DNB in Radiodiagnosis
• Valid state medical license
• Board certification in Radiology
• Minimum of 3 years of postqualification experience
• Proven expertise in interpreting various medical imaging modalities
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and protection
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Uptodate knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in radiology
• Proficiency in using radiology information systems and picture archiving systems
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
