Middleware Admin

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Install configure and maintain middleware applications and servers
• Monitor and optimize system performance and resource utilization
• Implement and oversee middleware security protocols and access controls
• Collaborate with development teams to facilitate application integration
• Conduct troubleshooting and problem resolution for middlewarerelated issues
• Manage middleware backups disaster recovery and high availability solutions
• Create and maintain documentation for middleware configurations and procedures
• Assist in capacity planning and scalability initiatives for middleware infrastructure
• Participate in regular patch management and upgrade activities
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and end users
• Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting and automation tools
• Perform periodic security audits and vulnerability assessments
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of middleware components
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in middleware technologies
• Collaborate with vendors for issue resolution and product enhancements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
• 3 years of experience in middleware administration and support
• Strong understanding of middleware technologies such as IBM WebSphere Apache Tomcat or JBoss
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
• Experience in scripting languages like Bash Python or PowerShell
• Knowledge of networking protocols and concepts (TCP/IP DNS HTTP SSL etc.)
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex middleware issues
• Familiarity with automation and orchestration tools like Ansible or Puppet
• Certifications in middleware platforms or relevant technologies is a plus
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a dynamic environment
• Strong attention to detail and problemsolving capabilities
• Experience in implementing and managing middleware security controls
• Ability to work independently and provide oncall support when necessary
• Understanding of ITIL framework and best practices
