Job Description:

Walk me through the daytoday responsibilities of this the role and a description of the project (Outside of Workday JD):

• The Pharmacy Technician will perform duties reviewing coverage for medications under the medical benefits for Medicare Medicaid and Exchange plans
• Track and triage coverage determination requests submitted from providers and determine if a pharmacist review is required
• Make case decisions based on defined criteria
• Collaborate with Pharmacists Medical Directors and vendors to obtain verbal authorizations and/or coverage determination reviews
• Communicate directly with the providers to clarifying basic information on the request or missing clinical criteria
• Notify providers and members of coverage determination request decisions
• This role directly impacts members as working these cases incorrectly would prevent the members from receiving their treatment timely

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma.

Software skills Required:

• Pharmacy Technician

Required Certifications:

• Current states Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license preferred
