Planning & Procurement Specialist
What This Position Is About – Purpose
The main objective of the Planning and Procurement Specialist is to prepare and execute production planning and raw material procurement. This involves conducting MRP, RCCP, and MPS to ensure efficient production scheduling, managing raw materials ordering cycles, maintaining PIR, evaluating suppliers, and overseeing PPV. The role is essential for optimizing inventory, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement, and supporting production efficiency and customer satisfaction.
What Will You Do - Responsibilities
Contribution to KPIs
- Contribution to NTM Yield, Leaf/NTM/FG, load Factor and Inventory KPIs and agreed lot sizes for the materials and other JTI Factories
- Execute action plans relating to department KPIs assigned by superior
- Provide feedback and suggestions for superior any improvements
- Report timely to superior for department KPIs and activities
- Proactively support and contribute to Factory KPIs achievement & Project execution
- Execute action plans relating to a department assigned by another KPI owner
- Provide feedback and suggestions for the KPI owner for any improvements
- Report timely to other KPI owners for department KPIs and activities
Lists of Standard Tasks (Not Limited to)
- Run MRP effectively to plan materials for cigarettes, filter rods, Cut filler, and production
- Capture and reflect new brands/material changes in Bill of Material
- Ensure raw material requirements are met by ordering optimal quantities and delivery dates
- Implement and use Sourcing Plan for all transactions
- Create purchase requisitions based on MRP results and review MRP weekly
- Work with finance to track NTM material variances, GR/IR, and PPV
- Collaborate with suppliers, NPD, QC, and warehouse for material planning during launches/relaunches
- Support Planning and Procurement Lead during ASP/LE studies
- Adhere to policies, implement best practices
Continuous Improvement
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities in the factory and submit improvement suggestions
- Openly communicate to superiors for any improvement opportunities
Compliance with Policies & Procedures and Regulations
- Comply with the global/regional/local Safety policies & procedures, regulatory requirements, and department processes
- Openly initiate dialogues with persons who do not comply with JTI policies & procedures
- Adhere to SAP and PLM processes, JTI's business systems
Who Are We Looking For - Requirements
- University graduate in Industrial Engineering, Logistics or Business Administration
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar job is recommended
- Fluent in oral and written English & Arabic
- Communication skills
