MEP QUANTITY SURVEYOR

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Quantity Surveyor with specialized experience in sewage treatment plants to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost and contractual elements of MEP (Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing) works related to sewage treatment plant projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and manage cost estimates budgets and cost plans for MEP works in sewage treatment plant projects.
• Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and measurement of MEP works from drawings and specifications.
• Evaluate contractor quotations and prepare tender and contract documents including bills of quantities.
• Monitor project costs and prepare regular cost reports including cash flow forecasts and costtocomplete reports.
• Assess and certify contractor payments variations and final accounts.
• Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs without compromising quality and functionality.
• Provide cost advice and feasibility studies to clients and project teams.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.
• Collaborate with project managers engineers and other stakeholders to resolve costrelated issues and ensure project objectives are met.
• Maintain accurate records of all project cost activities and documentation.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 810 years of relevant experience in MEP quantity surveying with specific experience in sewage treatment plant projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems materials and construction methods.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
• Familiarity with international standards and local regulations related to sewage treatment plants.
• Excellent analytical negotiation and problemsolving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse project teams and stakeholders.
