The role

As a Senior Fullstack Developer at Viaplay you will have the opportunity to work at the forefront of digital media and develop the platform to meet the challenges of a continuously growing user base. You will work on our web platform but also on our backend services to enable rapid improvements in our core solutions. Your engagement will shape the future of our service as you will be involved in defining the forefront for video on demand. We are now looking for a new team member to help us grow the platform enhance our user experience and create the next generation of streaming services.

We thrive in using innovative technology always keeping up to date and constantly challenging the status quo. We work with React and Node.js in a microservices architecture that runs in AWS. Also we build our whole product inhouse.

The journey ahead: You will join a kickass and stable crossfunctional but mighty squad based in Stockholm to deliver engineering solutions aligned with longterm technical and product visions. The team delivers clear goals based on our customer journey and is focusing on the customer accountsharing journey but has other responsibilities within our core services.

Some of your daily tasks will include:

• Building features for our consumerfacing Viaplay web app (built in React)
• Building wellstructured and highperforming backend services/lambdas (primarily Node.js) in a microservices/serverless environment
• Deploying to a production environment supported by Docker hosted on AWS Cloud
• Working within an agile development process where we encourage pair/mob programming
• Directing our product iterations based on consumer feedback and userbehavioral data

What were looking for

We believe in keeping an open mind during our recruitment process understanding that you might excel in certain areas more than others. To thrive in this role you should be a passionate developer with a genuine interest in software development and an ambition to constantly improve. You have worked with a variety of tasks requiring complex problemsolving using JavaScript. If you also have an interest in multiple programming languages you will fit right in! You will be part of a team that makes things happen in a brilliant manner.

Here are some key qualifications:

• 5 years experience in Software development in frontend and backend
• Experience with Cloud environments preferably AWS
• Experience with Clientfacing REST API
• Demonstrable leadership skills like communication mentoring leading architecture initiatives and risk analysis

Its a bonus if you have:

• A cando attitude resilience and the ability to collaborate humbly with others even under tight deadlines
• Experience in product A/B testing and a basic understanding of associated statistics
