Your Responsibilities
Business Development Strategy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy tailored for the air transport industry, focusing on co-innovation opportunities for technology solutions with our customers.
- Identify and target key areas within the industry for innovation and growth.
- Maintain a pipeline of qualified, active opportunities and manage them to close. Ensure there is a strategic fit between the opportunity and SITA capabilities.
- Define early-stage business cases and value propositions.
Innovation Partnerships
- Identify and establish strategic partnerships, alliances, and collaborations to drive innovation and enhance the software product and service offerings for air transport.
- Lead and facilitate client ideation workshops, fostering co-innovation activities and creating blueprints for bespoke solutions; from prototyping to handover to business units for productization.
- Act as a bridge between business units and Strategy and Growth Enablement, facilitating ideation and providing support for activities such as market sizing.
- Collaborate with technology providers and startups to explore opportunities for digital transformation.
- In collaboration with product marketing, product management and/or sales enablement, develop and communicate innovation case studies or other success stories.
Software Development Products and Services
- Gain a deep understanding of our software development products and services, ensuring alignment with the needs and challenges of the air transport industry.
- Collaborate with technology and development teams to adapt and enhance products and services to meet industry-specific requirements.
Market Research
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges unique to the airport transport sector.
- Analyze market data and customer feedback to continuously refine the product and service offerings.
Reporting and Analysis
- Provide regular reports and performance metrics to executive management and the Innovation Department.
- Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adapt the business development strategy as needed.
Qualifications

- Ability to communicate and influence C-suite and across all levels of the organization.
- Expertise in crafting and executing customized business development strategies.
- Understanding of customers’, competitors’, and employees’ situations and needs.
- Strong proficiency in establishing enduring client relationships, fostering collaboration and trust, and leveraging these relationships to drive project success and co-innovation.
- Understanding of rapid software development for products and services within technological innovation environments, preferably within the travel and transport industry.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in project management roles in a technological innovation environment.
- Proven experience in applying Agile, Kanban, and/or Scrum methodologies.
- Proven track record of driving innovation from a broader IT perspective, showcasing adaptability and innovation across various technology domains.
- Demonstrated success in co-innovating with customers, underscoring the ability to work closely with clients to develop tailored solutions.
- Proven expertise in managing a wide range of innovation projects from ideation and successfully delivering them.
- Proficiency in leveraging technical knowledge to introduce and implement new solutions, ensuring the effective integration of innovative technologies into projects.
