Estimator

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce cost estimates and proposals for structural steel bid projects and change orders.
  
• Assist in developing and implementing a plan for material and labor takeoffs from design drawings.
  
• Support complex projects as part of the estimating team.
  
• Review verify and distribute project drawings and specifications to estimators.
  
• Maintain and manage subcontractor/supplier relationships.
  
• Obtain pricing for specialty items not in the estimating software database.
  
• Generate estimate summaries and cost recap sheets in Excel.
  
• Assist in developing preliminary connection designs based on member capacities and loads.
  
• Collaborate with the Production Department to review and update estimating standards.
  
• Work overtime when required to meet bid deadlines.
