Overview:
The French Language Expert plays a crucial role in our organization responsible for linguistic and cultural support ensuring a high level of language accuracy consistency and cultural relevance in all communications and translations. This position is essential in enabling effective communication and understanding across language barriers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and culturally relevant French translations of various materials including documents marketing materials and correspondence.
- Conduct language interpretation and facilitate communication between Frenchspeaking individuals and Englishspeaking colleagues or clients.
- Ensure consistency in linguistic style and terminology across all written and verbal communications in French.
- Conduct linguistic and cultural reviews to ensure that all content is accurate culturally appropriate and free from grammatical errors.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of French language style guides and terminology databases.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to provide linguistic insights and support for projects ensuring that language requirements are met.
- Stay updated on language and cultural trends to ensure accuracy and relevance in all communications.
- Provide language and cultural training to colleagues as needed to enhance their communication skills.
- Participate in meetings and discussions with Frenchspeaking stakeholders to provide language support and ensure effective communication.
- Conduct research and gather linguistic and cultural data to support various projects and initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Fluent in French with native or nearnative proficiency.
- Bachelors degree in French Linguistics Translation or related field.
- Proven experience in translation interpretation or linguistic support roles.
- Excellent knowledge of French grammar syntax and vocabulary.
- Strong cultural awareness and understanding of Frenchspeaking regions and communities.
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English.
- Proficiency in using translation and language support tools and software.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced dynamic environment managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Detailoriented with a high level of accuracy in language and cultural interpretation.
