Position: Sr Cost Accounting Manager

Job Overview:

My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior cost Accounting Manager to join their team in Charleston SC. The ideal candidate will have a strong cost accounting background and recommend and implement cost control measures. This is a fulltime directhire position with competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of the companys cost accounting processes including cost analysis budgeting and forecasting

Develop and implement cost control measures to ensure efficient use of company resources

Manage a team of cost accountants and provide guidance and support to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting

Prepare and present financial reports to senior management highlighting key cost drivers and variances

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to analyze and improve business processes and identify costsaving opportunities

Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations

Continuously evaluate and improve the companys cost accounting policies and procedures

Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in cost accounting

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field

CPA or CMA certification preferred

Minimum of 7 years of experience in cost accounting preferably in a managerial role

Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles

Proficient in cost accounting software and MS Excel

Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills

Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to nonfinancial stakeholders

Strong leadership and team management skills

Detailoriented and able to meet tight deadlines
