On behalf of KPI OceanConnect MARPRO is searching for a highly motivated Marine Fuel Trader to join the companys already accomplished team in Glyfada (Athens) Greece.

Overview

The right candidate will need to have a proven track record in sales of preferably marine fuels or other maritime sales experience; be knowledgeable of the industry; demonstrate an aptitude in attracting new clients negotiating terms and closing backtoback deals of marine fuels.

Key Responsibilities

• Backtoback trade of marine fuels
• Responding to customer enquiries sending quotation negotiating confirming orders monitoring deliveries postdelivery service and support etc.
• Negotiating with suppliers
• Managing existing customer portfolio and tracing new clients
• Monitoring customer utilization of company credit lines payment performance and assisting with collection of payment when necessary
• Keeping updated on international marine fuel regulations industry trends and market dynamics
• Complying with company policies and procedures as well as internationals regulations.
• Collaborate with company teams
• Handle complaints and claims and assist with any necessary legal actions.
• Providing insights and proposing strategies to mitigate risk
• Collecting market intelligence
• Identifying and proposing new business opportunities
• Handling adhoc projects as and when required by the Management
• Limited travelling may be required

Professional qualifications

• Proven experience in sales within the maritime industry
• Ability to demonstrate own extended and transferable portfolio of clients
• Possess good knowledge of the maritime shipping industry and preferably of the oil market and marine fuel pricing strategies
• Be experienced with the industrys procedures specifications regulations etc.
• Have high communicating skills (speaking/reading/writing) in English ideally also in Greek (any additional languages will be advantageous)
• Have the right to live and work in Greece
• Computer proficient skills for communications maintaining and documenting in the database and company ERP
