Minimum Requirements

• Education: An advanced university degree in Education or related field is required.
• A first University Degree in a relevant field combined with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree.
• Experience: A minimum of eight years of professional experience in programme planning, management, and/or research in education is required; including demonstrated knowledge of designing and implementing strategies for improving children’s learning; teaching and learning packages in basic education. Experience of leading and managing pre and in-service teacher education is desirable.
• Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an et.
  

Desirables

• Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency.
• Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an et.
• Extensive working experience working in schools is highly desirable.
• Experience working in a middle-income country is considered as an et

Should you be selected for a position with UNICEF, you either must be inoculated as required or receive a medical exemption from the relevant department of the UN. Otherwise, the selection will be canceled.
