Job Description:
- Assist the Director of Business Development and Market Intelligence in setting sales goals and targets for the team.
- Provide guidance coaching and mentoring to sales representatives to improve their performance.
- Monitor individual and team performance and provide regular feedback to enhance results.
- Assist in recruiting training and onboarding new sales team members.
- Collaborate with the Director of Business Development and Market Intelligence to develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics.
- Identify market trends and customer needs to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Participate in sales meetings to discuss progress challenges and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in managing the sales pipeline including lead generation prospecting and followup.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g. marketing product customer service) to ensure alignment and smooth execution of sales processes.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present sales reports to the Director of Business Development and Market Intelligence and senior management.
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with key clients and accounts.
- Address customer concerns complaints and inquiries in a timely and effective manner.
- Assist the sales team in resolving complex issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist in creating sales presentations proposals and other sales materials.
- Provide product knowledge and technical information to the sales team.
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure sales collateral and messaging are accurate and aligned.
- Conduct regular analysis of sales performance against targets and objectives.
- Identify areas for improvement in processes tools and strategies.
- Propose and implement initiatives to enhance sales team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends competitive landscape and market developments.
- Share relevant insights with the sales team to inform their strategies and approaches.
- Complying with Kuwait Steel policies HSE Management System and Integrated Management System (ISO9001/14001/45001).
- Supporting the execution of Health Safety and Environment plans in the workplace according to HSE standard company and country rules and legal regulations
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business Marketing or a related field (Masters degree preferred)
5 to 7 years of relevant experience in sales preferably in a supervisory or assistant management role Steel experience is a plus
