Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Data Engineer you will play a pivotal role in designing developing and maintaining our data infrastructure ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of data across various systems. Your expertise in data pipelines ETL and ELT and data warehousing will be vital to the success of our datadriven initiatives. Ideally you possess extensive handson experience with Redshift RDBMs AWS DMS AWS Glue Apache Airflow and Snowflake.

Responsibilities:

• Data Warehousing: Design and maintain data warehousing solutions ensuring data integrity scalability and performance.
• ETL Processes: Develop robust ETL processes to handle largescale data ingestion transformation and integration from heterogeneous data sources.
• Data Pipeline Development: Design build and optimize endtoend data pipelines that extract data from various sources transform it into a structured format and load it into data warehousing systems.
• Cloud Technologies: Leverage your expertise in AWS cloud services particularly Redshift RDS Aurora AWS DMS AWS Glue and other related services to build and optimize data engineering solutions.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively identify and address data pipeline issues. Conduct root cause analysis and provide timely resolutions.
• Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation for data pipelines ETL processes and data warehousing solutions to facilitate knowledge sharing and future development.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry best practices emerging technologies and trends in data engineering. Suggest and implement improvements to existing processes and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field. Masters degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (at least 5 years) as a Data Engineer with a focus on designing and implementing data pipelines ETL processes and data warehousing solutions.
• Extensive handson experience with cloudbased data technologies especially AWS services such as Redshift RDS Aurora AWS DMS AWS Glue and Apache Airflow.
• Familiarity with Snowflake data warehousing is a significant advantage.
• Proficient in SQL and other programming languages used in data engineering (e.g. PythonC#).
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced collaborative environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent problemsolving skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
