Audit Accounting Supervisor 1 Months Contract

Our client a leading tourism company in South Africa are seeking a skilled Audit/Accounting Supervisor to join their dynamic team. If you have a keen eye for detail a strong understanding of accounting principles and extensive experience in taxation and auditing we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Budget Preparation and Loading
  
• Taxation: Prepare and submit annual income tax returns monthly/bimonthly VAT returns and quarterly SARS statements.
  
• Timely completion and submission of tax submissions ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  
• Preparation of the Annual Audit File ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  
• Thorough scrutiny of the general ledger to verify the accuracy completeness and validity of financial information.
  
• Review of Audited Financial Statements resolution of audit queries distribution of AFS and capturing of audit adjustments.
  
• Supervision of departmental functioning and staff with a focus on meeting key performance indicators (KPIs).
  

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Commerce or related field.
  
• Minimum of five years experience in an accounting division.
  
• Background in audit is advantageous.
  

Knowledge:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  
• Understanding of the ST Act Companies Act Income Tax Act and VAT Act.
  
• Strong grasp of basic accounting principles.
  
• Ability to read and understand sectional plans.
