Commissioning Engineers

Main Purpose of My Role:

Efficiently carry out all aspects of commissioning on our products and Balance of Plant including all interfaces with third parties as required by specific projects.

Observe and follow all Health Safety and Environmental standards regulations and requirements and procedures at all times.

Train customers and personnel on our products to ensure safe operation as needed.

Conduct fault finding (both locally and remotely) on our installations ensuring that all issues are resolved to the required quality standard.

Occasionally as instructed by the Commissioning Manager support the wider team in specialist troubleshooting and field support as required.

Goals & Objectives:

Efficiently and effectively commission our Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems and Balance of Plant along with all ancillary equipment under our responsibility including customer interfaces.

Ensure the correct concise and timely completion of all documentation relevant to the tasks to the expected quality standard and procedure.

Ensure that all customers receive good yet costeffective service and that they are satisfied with our product.

Manage all operational duties connected with the role of a Commissioning Engineer and any thirdparty contractors with efficiency and effectiveness but at the lowest operating costs.

Ensure that all operational duties are undertaken within the rules of our Health & Safety guidelines and that any other personnel under your control associated with those duties possess or receive adequate guidance and supervision to enable them to correctly carry out the duties needed.

Requirements

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Scope of Activities:

Responsible to the Commissioning Manager for all aspects related to the Commissioning of all gas and diesel engines and their ancillary equipment ensuring operations are run at the lowest operating cost while adhering to the performance criteria required within the Sales and Service Contracts.

Responsible for close cooperation with the Commissioning Design and Projects team and all associated with the delivery of our contracts.

2. Problem Solving:

Make daytoday operational decisions.

Efficiently manage time to achieve acceptable commercial results.

Focus on engineering problemsolving and efficient and effective resource management.

3. Freedom to Act:

Make daytoday decisions of an engineering nature while working within the parameters required by the Commissioning Manager. This requires a clear understanding of our business goals.

Have the authority to refuse to accept and implement any business that fails to achieve profitability and risk criteria governed by our Health and Safety Handbook.

4. Dimensions:

Manage the profitability of all Contracts as measured against the published target.

Oversee the individual profitability of each Commissioning Repair and Service job allocated.

Ensure the overall performance of the Contracts achieves the criteria at the lowest operating cost.
