Whats in the role and what are we looking for

We are recruiting for a Procurement Officer Retail Clothing to join our team within our Buying department. The successful candidate will work closely to support the Buying Role in terms of School Uniforms & wider team to ensure that sales stock and margin targets are achieved. You will have bundles of passion and energy to successfully drive and contribute to our ranges.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Build a relationship with suppliers.
• Demonstrating a deep understanding of the business & customer identify and action opportunities to add value.
• Ensuring product is sourced from the best options possible driving quality and delivering margin.
• Analysis of sales and performance for direct and retail to enable trade reactions to be implemented where required.
• Being commercially aware of our competitors and their seasonal product and price changes.
• Organize and manage photo samples ready for upcoming meetings and photoshoots.
• Embedding and delivering against the defined Stage and Gate process.
• Having full ownership of the Critical Path from concept through to arrival in store / online. Ensuring speed to market upfront and to facilitate trade.
• Being accountable for their supply base delivering against the strategy including quality margin and speed to market. To introduce suppliers accordingly and responsibly decline where required.
• Spearheading the Supplier strategy; planning from 6 24 months ahead understanding in detail the risks and opportunities ensuring the allocation of business is always approached strategically and the Head of is always up to date.

The Successful Candidate will:

• Have 1 2 years experience at Procurement Officer Retail Clothing
• Natural ability to identify future fashion trends and a real passion for product.
• Have an indepth knowledge of the current market.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
