Job Title: Data Center Cabling Technician

Location: Frankfurt Germany

Position Summary: The primary responsibility of the Data Center Cabling Technician is to execute planned and reactive hardware and cabling tasks within our clients data centers. You will be responsible for cabling and maintenance work in server rooms and managing the overall IT infrastructure related to cabling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation and maintenance of cabling systems within the data center including copper and fiber optic networks.
  
• Assist in creating and upgrading data center infrastructure by providing cabling support.
  
• Execute the installation decommissioning and relocation of cabling and related IT equipment.
  
• Manage and close service tickets related to cabling tasks.
  
• Conduct tests and troubleshooting for various cable types to ensure network integrity and performance.
  
• Configure network devices at a low level including scriptbased management if required.
  
• Maintain and update documentation related to cabling infrastructure and activities.
  
• Support external teams during the installation of new data center equipment as needed.
  
• Ensure all cabling work complies with health and safety regulations.
  
• Supervise thirdparty vendors performing cabling tasks within the data center.
  
• Adhere to information security standards during cabling activities.
  
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within all work areas of the data center.
  

Qualifications:

• Relevant professional experience in a similar ICT or cabling role.
  
• Strong knowledge of data center environments or other critical settings.
  
• Handson experience with the installation and integration of ICT hardware devices.
  
• Familiarity with installation relocation and decommissioning processes within a data center.
  
• Practical experience working with copper and fiber optic cabling including testing and troubleshooting.
  
• Knowledge of German electrical standards and regulations particularly DIN VDE 0100 series and VDE 0800 series.
  
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
  
• Excellent German communication skills
  
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
  
• Proactive diligent and passionate approach to work.
  
• ICT or data center certification is desirable but not required.
